Lean Mince 90/10

Mince is cut up or ground beef. Usually a meat grinder is used. Mince is magical, it can be used in many forms of tasty dishes. 90 % beef , 10% fat, is the ratio in which the mince is mixed. This mince is best used for traditional South African dishes such as bobotie and cottage pie.

Mince 80/20

Ground beef is sold in different varieties indicated by two numbers on the packaging. This is the 80/20 ratio, meaning that this mince contains 80% beef and 20% fat making it best used for meatballs, hamburgers ,bangers and meatloaf.
